Here are some tips and tricks on using status updates:
Interact with Others from Status Updates
Comment on, share, follow or repost a status update by clicking any of the commands in the footer of the update. Interacting on status updates is a fun way to engage with other members and build relationships.
Use Tags in Your Status Updates
Insert one or more tag(s) in your update by preceding keywords with a hash or pound sign (#) so that you and others can find the update more easily later.
Filter by Status Updates
Filter any of your streams to view only status updates by selecting Filter > Status Updates.
See Someone Else’s Status Update
Click a person’s avatar or name from any of your streams, any place and piece of content or within in search to view their profile page. Under the person’s Recent Activity, you’ll find the most recent status update they’ve posted. To view the full Status Update, select the date.
Delete Your Status Update
If you inadvertently ask a question in a status update or post a status update by accident, you can delete it to remove it from the community. To delete a status update, go to your inbox and click on the time stamp in the update (for example: “posted 2 hours ago”). Under Actions along the right of the page, click Delete and then select Delete Update in the confirmation window that appears.
