A guide on how to register for the Ciena Community and claim your profile. There are two processes, follow the path that best fits your relationship with Ciena.

There are two paths to follow, please select the path that you best represents your relationship with Ciena. We're always here to help too, so please reach out at community@ciena.com.

 

Ciena Portal Customer, Partner, and Employee Login

Use this registration option if you identify as one of the following and/or have an existing Ciena Portal (portal.ciena.com) account. This will allow you to both login and register.

  • An employee of a customer with a license or service agreement.
  • An employee of Ciena partner.
  • A Ciena employee. If this is your first time logging in, please see Ciena Employees below. 

 

  1. Select Register
  2. Click Ciena Portal Customer, Partner, and Employee Login on the next page
  3. To login, enter your portal credentials. To register, click register and complete the fields. You'll receive confirmation of your account via email and can log in to the community at https://community.ciena.com

Ciena User, Blue Planet User, or Guest Login

Use this registration option if you identify as one of the following:

  • An end user of a Ciena product and don't have an existing license or service agreement with Ciena.
  • Are a user or partner of Blue Planet.
  • Are new to the Ciena and not an employee, customers, partner or end user.

 

  1. Select Register
  2. Click Ciena User, Blue Planet User, or Guest Login on the next page
  3. Read the Terms & Conditions - you must scroll through the Terms & Conditions to be able to agree and continue - and click Continue 
  4. Complete the registration form using your professional email address and click Create account
  5. Go to your inbox and select the link in the email to verify your email address
  6. Next, complete your profile by uploading an avatar photo

Ciena Employees

If you're logging in for the first time, please go to Inside Ciena and search for: Ciena Employee Guide to Joining Ciena Community and follow the steps to activate your profile. Once your profile is activated, login by selecting Ciena Portal Customer, Partner, and Employee Login after selecting Login.
