I'm using SAOS 6.15.00.xxx software.
Could this command be used for troubleshooting?
Note that the command you are specifying in your question is to create a VLAN cross-connect, or in other words a simple point-to-point connection between two ports based on a single VID (single VLAN cross-connect), or a outer and inner VID combination (double VLAN cross-connect). The main difference with VLANs is that VLAN cross-connects do not do MAC learning and do not perform a MAC table lookup.
Here's a configuration example to create a single VLAN cross-connect between ports 1 and 2 using VID 50
vlan create xc 50 port-a 1 port-b 2
Here's a configuration example to create a double VLAN cross-connect between ports 3 and an aggregate port named LAG4 using outer VID 100 and inner VID 10.
vlan create xc 100:10 port-a 3 port-b LAG4
I'll be happy to answer any further questions you may have about VLAN cross-connects.
