i need to restart the NEs using CLI ?
We usually to make warm reboot or cold reboot on a circuit pack we use TL1 commands
For this case:
INIT-WARMUse this command to instruct a Network element to initialize its circuit packs.A warm initialization does not affect traffic.Attention: A warm restart on slot 0 or slot 3 will initialize the network element.
Field DescriptionCategory EquipmentSecurity Level 3Logged TL1 Log
Input Syntax INIT-WARM:[tid]:<slot>:ctag;
Response Syntax ^^^SID^93-06-15^10:12:11M^^<ctag>^COMPLD
Use this command to instruct a Network element to initialize its circuit packs.
A cold initialization is equivalent to a power-up and will affect trafficAttention: A cold restart on slot 0 or slot 3 will initialize the network element andaffect traffic.
Input Syntax INIT-COLD:[tid]:<slot>:ctag;Response Syntax ^^^SID^93-06-15^10:12:11M^^<ctag>^COMPLD
Hello Mohammad Alshaikh
Thanks to participate on the Community,
About your question, Do you need to make a reboot the chassis or a specifically Circuit Pack?
I need to warm reboot a aggregate card, and i would like to know both cold and warm options using command line not TL1?
Thanks in advance,
thanks for sharing this, but i can enter a network element only by CLI , by TL1 gives maximum TL1 session opened error.
and i can't login by GUI as well, actually this problem is caused due to bugged SW release for OME6130 release 5, 5.02 ,, file descriptor lack cause such faults, and this hangs the node management after # of backups we avoid this by doing a schduled warms restarts..... hope you get this fixed by issuing new fix release !!
for now it would be great if you share a debugging info to warm restart the node ?
To debug access is only to ciena team internal, for this case you need to open a case on the Call Center Ciena and they would be derive an Engineer to help to this case.
