The words you choose matter. I don't know about you but I often find myself managing activities across multiple vectors simultaneously on a daily basis. The fast pace of business we all live in can make it easy to click into that Type A "driver" mode where you might not take the time to think about your words. Ciena is lucky to be ripe with leaders that don't fall into that trap, but for the rest of us, I thought this article about choosing your words might be a good reminder take the time to think about your words and delivery. I especially like the "Tell me more" and "What happens next" to help you consciously listen and hear what others are saying, validate them and build the relationship of trust.
