Can i find Ciena node/card specs compatible with the below SFP:
OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER/TRX SM CPRI 614.4-2457.6Mbit/s (SFP-Module, SM, 8km)
thanks in advance,
According to the Pluggables Datasheet (323-1851-180) document, the NTTP11CF Supports,
CPRI Option 1 (614.4 Mb/s)CPRI Option 2 (1.2288 Gb/s)CPRI Option 3 (2.4576 Gb/s)
in 1310nm with a 10Km nominal reach over SM.
This part can be supported by a number of OTN Circuit Packs including:
8xOTN Flex MOTR (NTK532BAE5)
(1+8)xOTN Flex MOTR (NTK532DAE5 and NTK532DE)
I'd recommend checking with your Ciena Sales Engineer to ensure this part meets your requirements.
many thanks for the answer !!
I've Flex MOTR NTK531YA circuit pack installed on NTK503SA back plane
can i use an SFP compatible with the needed rate CPRI Option 3 (2.4576 Gb/s)
i.e NTTP03BFE6 or else ?? does this meets my rate ?
According to 323-1851-180(6500_R12.0_Pluggables)_Isssue1 this is a supported configuration in Release 12. (when plugged into ports 3-10)
If you are running a different software release we would need to check on the support. You can obtain this documentation from the Ciena portal at https://portal.ciena.com
From your CLI Ciena device, run the following command: "port xcvr show supported" for the complete list of supported types. If the XCVR is plugged into a chassis port, run "port xcvr show port X vendor". Finally, run "port xcvr show" to see if it can read the COUIA data correctly from the transceiver. Usually, only authorized Ciena Transceivers will work correctly, even if you find the original manufacture of the same XCVR. The authorized types are coded into the S/W build (the 'show supported' command). I've had transceivers look good, and pass all diagnostics, but still not pass traffic, or passes only certain data. I only use Ciena Transceivers to avoid issues. You sales rep should also have advised you of the same.
