I have a customer trying to connect to a 10GE SFP point to point link using a protocol called TRILL...but it is not working. Any reason(s) why?
We have solved the issue by changing the OTU2 to OTU2e...increasing the bandwidth.
To be honest, I've never heard of that TRILL protocol. I did a little web research on it, and it seems it runs over standard Ethernet.
Is your customer able to pass other Ethernet packets?
What type of hardware are you using?
Are you encapsulating into OTN?
If you could give a few more details about the type of connection you're using, we might be able to help.
Good job. Just as a reminder, the OTU2E is designed to transport the full 10GE LAN versus the OTU2 which transports a 10GE WAN frame (10GE over a SONET/SDH container, which is less bandwidth).
