How to provision a OCH trail (lambda) terminating on wave-server and riding over 6500 nodes ?
Hi Senthil, I'm sharing your question with members of our 6500 and Waveserver forums too should they have any insights to pass along. I'll continue to monitor your question for a response.
Assuming the WS system band-plan is already set.Tune the line side of the Waveserver
-set port ptp set ptp (1or12) (wavelength)
-port xcvr set xcvr (1or12) mode (QPSK,8QAM, 16QAM)
After doing this connect line side fiber of WS to mux filter and provision the desired CH on the CMD. For further information please follow commission procedure user guide 323-4001-100
Adding some more to this...As Ivan mentioned, you could manually provision a Waveserver using the CLI. Still you would need to place things OOS, provision the mode, provision the ptp, place things back IS...
But, since you mentioned the wavelengths will be deployed over 6500, a really interesting feature you may want to use is the SPLI (Service Photonic Layer Interoperability).
Enabling SPLI on both the 6500 node supporting the photonic layer and on the Waveserver will allow you to provision a wavelength end to end from the 6500 nodes or any network management system (One Control/ MCP) provided you have only the basic setup on the Waveservers and the 6500.
By using SPLI the Waveserver parameters (port mode, wavelength/ frequency, power levels, line system type, etc) will be automatically provisioned when you set the ADJ-Tx on the 6500 nodes or when you define the wavelength provisioning on One Control/ MCP.This will also ensure adjacency discovery.
Remember SPLI runs at IP layer.
