I am new to Ciena switches and the PVID designation is a new concept.

After examining Adv Enet Config guide for SAOS, I am confused regarding port VLAN, port PVID and ingress multiple tagged frames behaviors. Can a port be a member of VLAN 100 and have a PVID of 200? What effect does PVID have on egress traffic if ingress port has PVID 100 but egress port has PVID 200 and both ports are members of vlan 300?

How does the VLAN ingress filter apply in multi-PVID scenarios?

How does the VLAN egress filter apply in multi-PVID scenarios?

What is the association gained by adding a port to a VLAN if PVID must be the same as the VLAN?

How is the Egress Untagged VLAN (EUV) parameter set? What is its default value when multiple VLANs are created on the switch?

How does the switch handle stacked tags (2,3 or 4 vlan tags deep)?

Can someone provide some examples?
